Bike & scooter cover

Two-wheeler
insurance

Understand your options before you renew, and talk to us if you need help choosing the right cover for your bike.

Types of cover

Third-party

Mandatory by law

Covers injury, death or property damage you cause to others. Required for every two-wheeler on Indian roads under the Motor Vehicles Act. It does not pay for damage to your own bike.

Comprehensive

Most popular

Third-party cover plus damage to your own bike from accidents, theft, fire and natural calamities like floods.

Standalone own-damage

For newer bikes

Only the own-damage part, for bikes that already carry a multi-year third-party policy (common on bikes bought new since 2018).

Popular add-ons

  • Zero depreciation. Claims pay for replaced parts without a cut for wear and age.
  • Engine protection. Covers engine damage from water entry or oil leakage, which standard cover excludes.
  • Roadside assistance. Help with breakdowns, flat tyres and towing, depending on the plan.

Keep these handy to renew

  • Registration certificate (RC)
  • Your current or last policy
  • ID for KYC (PAN or Aadhaar)

Renew before your policy expires so your cover doesn't lapse.

Insurance is the subject matter of solicitation. Please read the policy wording carefully before concluding a sale. Policies are issued by insurance companies registered with IRDAI; cover, exclusions and add-ons vary by insurer and plan.
